Learn this fun rock solo with licks that use staccato, slides, and bends. It is played as a fast tempo in the key of D, which has two sharps in its key signature.
The solo starts with a drum intro. Notice the 6th measure (3rd if you include the 4-bar rest as one) and its use of staccato on the “and” beats. Most guitarists would play this with upstrokes so they can simply keep their right hand moving down and up. The down strokes all occur on the rests.
If you’re struggling, I recommend slowing the tempo and learning it in parts. I hope you enjoy it. The solo was written and recorded by Francesco Cagnacci.
Audio for guitar and drums is provided.
